Wellesley summer concert series gets hip-hoppier

The Wellesley Recreation Department has rolled out its list of summer concerts, and it’s mainly the usual suspects: Oldies band The Reminisants, swing from the Tom Nutile Big Band and of course, the pop-focused Glamour Girls. The Wednesday night shows at the Town Hall green start June 22 and run through Aug. 3.

But a new twist this year will be what’s being called a teen concert featuring Cam Meekins, a Wellesley High student with a growing following for his hip hop act, which he’s taken to the Middle East in Central Square among other places.  We rapped with Cam last summer.  Meekins says his show will take place June 23 (a Thursday).
