Singer-turned-author Judy Collins visiting Wellesley to promote kids’ book

Judy Collins in WellesleyGrammy Award-winning singer Judy Collins will be visiting Wellesley Unitarian Universalist Church on May 9 at 7pm to promote her new children’s book, When You Wish Upon a Star, as well as a memoir called Sweet Judy Blue Eyes. She’ll also discuss her life as a singer, activist (UNICEF, landmine awareness, etc.) and businesswoman, as part of this Wellesley Books event.

Tickets cost $5 and may be used as a $5 coupon towards the purchase of a Collins book.  To reserve your tickets call Wellesley Books at 781.431.1160.

Collins is the latest celebrity to visit Wellesley after converting fame into children’s book authorship — skater Kristi Yamaguchi paid a visit last month to peddle her latest book.
