A foreclosure auction has been set for July 16 for 978-980 Worcester St. (Rte. 9 east), the commercial/residential use property that was formerly home to the Wellesley Motor Inn and now is occupied by Dunkin’ Donuts and a new restaurant, Justine’s Table, that was slated to open earlier this month.
Boston Business Journal reports the property is owned by Wellesley Realty Associates, which is affiliated with local developer Behrend Construction. Efforts t0 develop the 23K square foot property have dragged on for years, with town officials concerned about a lack of parking at the 2.3-acre lot, among other things. Justine’s Table recently got the go-ahead for its business, and in May held a hiring fair, but the restaurant’s future is now unclear.
