Young Scientist Neuroscience Lab at Wellesley College on July 28

From Wellesley Free Library:
Kids ages 8-12 are invited to attend a hands-on neuroscience program at Wellesley College on Saturday, July 28th from 1:00-4:00pm.

Activities will include looking at brain tissue under a microscope, examining 3D models of the human brain, watching relevant video clips, learning how optical illusions work, playing trivia games with prizes, modeling brain parts/functions with food, and more! In the process children will also be exposed to proper lab safety procedures including wearing lab coats, glasses and gloves, and the basics of using a microscope.

Since space is limited, please sign up at www.WellesleyFreeLibrary.org through the Children’s Calendar starting on July 21st. When you sign-up, please include your email address since directions along with a waiver which must be signed will be sent to participants before the event.
