World’s End: A special day off for Wellesley Public Schools on Dec. 21

Steve Annear from BostInno writes that the Wellesley Public School calendar lists Dec. 21 as World Ends, referring to the common misconception that the Mayan calendar says the world will end that day.

Annear included a screenshot in his report, but alas, a humor cop apparently has nixed the reference.

We actually thought Dec. 20, listed as the day of the Faculty Holiday Party, might be the real end of the world anyway. Or as our kids would argue, Sept. 4, the day school starts up again.
