Safely drop off prescription drugs at Wellesley Police this Saturday

You can drop off old and unwanted prescription drugs at the Wellesley Police Department on Saturday, Sept. 29, between 10am and 2pm as part of a nationwide effort with the Drug Enforcement Administration to get these potentially dangerous drugs disposed of properly. You actually can drop off prescription drugs around the clock at the department if you can’t make the hours of this specific program. All drop-offs are anonymous, no questions asked.

Prescription and over the counter solid dosage medications, i.e. tablets and capsules will be accepted, however intra-venous solutions and injectables will not be accepted. Needles will be accepted, but they MUST be brought in a sturdy container, detergent bottle, coffee can, or similar container.  Illicit substances such as marijuana or methamphetamine are not a part of this initiative.
