For those of you who can’t stand giving away your valuable but unwanted stuff at the Wellesley Recycling & Disposal Facility’s give-and-take area, here’s a new option: Wellesley Recreation Department is organizing a townwide yard sale to take place at the Morses Pond parking lot on Saturday, Sept. 22 from 9am-2pm.

It costs $5 to rent a space of 10 x 25/30 feet, and you can get up to 2 of them, though only Wellesley residents need apply. Registration can be done online (see Brochure PDF for form) or by phone. It’s free for anyone to browse the treasures (no concession-type food sales allowed).

In case of inclement weather, a cancellation notice will be posted at www.wellesleyma.gov/recreation. There will be no rain date.
