Wellesley Police recently notified residents of the increasingly popular pre-Halloween practice of Ghosting, whereby mysterious bags of candy and other goodies show up on doorsteps, usually with notes encouraging the recipient to pay it forward by Ghosting others.
We’re well aware of Ghosting and have been getting Ghosted for years. But we’ve never received a bag quite like the one we got last night. Yes friends, it’s getting weird out there.
The contents:
*Conjoined apples
*Candy (which was gone by the time I got home)
*A plastic necklace
*Spiky plastic ball
*An old, dead BlackBerry Curve smartphone
