Hurricane Sandy closes Wellesley public schools on Monday

Hurricane SandyWellesley Public Schools are closed Monday due to tropical storm/Hurricane Sandy’s pending arrival.

This closure includes all classes and school-related activities during the day and evening on Monday, October 29th.

Gov. Deval Patrick requested all schools be closed Monday and has urged private businesses to keep employees home if possible, too, to keep roads cleared for emergency vehicles.

Earlier, on Sunday morning,  the Wellesley Municipal Light Plant was dealing with some unusual power outages in the Weston Road area, even before the storm’s arrival.
