Wellesley restaurant news: Upper Crust goes Chapter 11, but pledges “normal operations”

Upper Crust Pizzeria Wellesley MAUpper Crust Pizzeria, which has been dealing with a mess of labor and financial issues in recent years, has formally filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection (more details in this Boston Globe story). What’s this mean for the Wellesley Square Upper Crust location, which offers a Swellesley pizza and came to town in 2010? The Globe reports that an Upper Crust lawyer says the chain’s outlets “will maintain normal operations during bankruptcy proceedings.”
