Fund established to help Wellesley educator raise grandson

A fund has been established to help a Stoughton woman who is teaching in the Wellesley Public School system afford to raise her grandson, whose parents are struggling with heroin addiction.

It’s a classic red tape tale in which this woman, Jean Fox, is basically being told she’d be better off not working so that she can qualify for more government services.  The Globe recently ran a column on Fox’s plight.

The fund is accepting donations until Jan. 1.
