Wellesley residents Laurence Krenis and Sharyn Lincoln are set to perform in Masterworks Chorale Mozart vs. Salieri concert slated for 8pm on Friday, Nov. 15 at Sanders Theatre, Harvard University, 45 Quincy St in Cambridge.
The 74th season of Masterworks Chorale opens with a nod to Peter Shaffer’s play and blockbuster movie, “Amadeus,” with a concert titled Mozart vs. Salieri. Chorale conductor Steven Karidoyanes pits Mozart’s turbulent Requiem against Salieri’s bright Grand Mass in D, featuring the Masterworks chorus and orchestra, along with a fine roster of soloists. The event is preceded by a talk by Laura Prichard.
This performance is an Awareness Through Music event, an outreach initiative of Masterworks Chorale. The local charity partner is Fragile X LINKS Group of Eastern Massachusetts.
