Another Wellesley story about dogs in danger, with a happy ending

Wellesley Police worked with the Fire Department and the public today to round up 7 dogs that got loose following an accident involving a doggie daycare van Wednesday morning on Brook Street. The police enlisted the help of the public via social media and one by one or two by two rounded up all of the dogs, who didn’t really want to be running around for long on this bitterly cold day. Full report here from the police.

This adventure came on the heels of the now famous story of Wellesley first responders saving Crosby the golden retriever from the icy Charles River.

Wellesley Free Library this coming Saturday has a read to a dog program for kids in grades K-4 (more info, call 781 235 1610 x1108 or visit the Children’s Room). That sounds like a little safer activity for local pups.
