Burst pipe washes out after-school activities at Wellesley High Monday

Dear Wellesley High School Families,

We are writing to you about an incident that took place in the building over the weekend. A pipe burst in an isolated section of the first floor, flooding the wood shop and the instrumental classrooms.

We are in the process of cleaning up and addressing the damages caused by the water, and both the wood shop and band room will be out of commission until all appropriate repairs can be made.

Some of the repairs have already begun hence, the building will be closed to students and faculty at 2:30 p.m. today.  All activities that take place IN the building have been canceled and all others OUT of the building will take place at their normal time and location.

At this time, we anticipate no impact on school opening at the regular time tomorrow.

Thank you for your time and cooperation.

Sincerely,

Dr. Andrew Keough
Principal
