Wellesley-based artists Chelsea Sebastian and Julia Bringhurst Blake are displaying their paintings at Wellesley Free Library this month and a demo & reception will be held on Jan. 18 from 9am-noon.

Sebastian’s “Colorscapes” acrylic painting series is inspired by seascape, international streetscape and family. The Seattle native, who comes from a line of professional painters, was recently the Artist in Residence at Tenacre Country Day School.

Bringhurst Blake, who uses vivid colors and works across categories from abstract to figure, has a painting exhibit called “What Matters” in the library lobby.
Both women are members of the Wellesley Society of Artists and Wellesley Women Artisans.
