Town of Wellesley issues FAQ on North 40 property

North 40 wellesley collegeI’ve started to catch myself almost automatically saying “It could go on the North 40” when people in town bring up ideas for various needs in town (say, a dog park) that might nicely fit on the property Wellesley College is looking to sell along Weston Road.

The town has expressed interest in the property, but obviously with the 494 Washington St., purchase and other big projects in the works, the North 40 situation is complicated.

The town on Wednesday issued an FAQ to help clarify issues such as zoning, neighbors and community gardens.

One nugget: The Town has extended its purchase and sales agreement for 900 Worcester St., the St. James the Great property deal that’s been held up due to various appeals.
