Eleven years in the works, the bridge could be done by this fall, according to Mass Highway officials. Meanwhile, Wellesley man-about-town Tory DeFazio calls the bridge a “work of art,” partially explaining the project’s length. From the Globe:
“The stone work on the bridge is part of the character of the town,” DeFazio said.
“It inspired other construction – churches, fire station, the clock tower – that adds to the beautification of the town.”
