One way to keep chipmunks at bay

Thanks to reader John Harmon for sending along this swell picture. He writes: “This hawk (I believe it is a Cooper’s Hawk or a Northern Goshawk) has been hanging around our house [located among the Presidential streets off of Oakland St.]  this week. It is a welcome sight as it has solved the problem of chipmunks eating my tomatoes!”
