For the second year in a row the Wellesley Green Team (Katie Smith Milway, Pamela Posey, Ann Rappaport) came out on top of Wellesley’s Annual Spelling Bee. The 19th annual event took place last night at Wellesley High and it was the Green Team knocking off Harvard-Radcliffe Alumni in the end on the word “immiscibility” (both teams had earlier gotten the word “estrepement” incorrect).
The Wellesley Education Foundation says 52 teams took part in the fundraising event, and that the National Honor Society team topped the High School round. Mike Dowling kept things moving as emcee.
