Wellesley College Theatre presents “Vietnam 101: The War on Campus”

November 2, 2008 by Bob Brown Leave a Comment

From Wellesley College:

Wellesley College is proud to present Rich Orloff’s Vietnam 101: The War on Campus which will open on Thursday, November 20, 2008. Directed by the head of the Theatre Department, Nora Hussey, the play will be performed in The Schneider Center Theatre. Based on recollections by over 100 students this is a docudrama about the journey of one college community during the Vietnam War years. Combining story theatre, monologues and music this is a thoughtful impassioned look at one of the most divisive eras in American history.

The production will be performed with a unique cast of Wellesley College, Babson College, and Boston-area actors. The scenic and lighting design will be created by technical director Ken Loewit, costume design by Katie Bartunek and Nancy Stevenson, and sound design by George Cooke.

Vietnam 101: The War on Campus performs Thursday, November 20 at 7pm, Friday, November 21 at 8pm, Saturday, November 22 at 2pm and 8pm, and Sunday, November 23 at 2pm.

Tickets are $10 General Admission; $5 Seniors and Students; Free to the Wellesley College Community with ID; Free to students with Wellesley, Babson or Olin ID. To purchase tickets call the Box Office at (781) 283-2000. The theatre is handicap accessible . For disability services contact Jim Wice at (781) 283-2434.
