Jan Turnquist will present her interpretation of the life of Harriet Beecher Stowe at Wellesley Free Library Sunday at 3pm. Stowe’s famous novel, “Uncle Tom’s Cabin,” is often credited with increasing abolitionist sentiment in the North and indirectly leading to the Civil War. Co-sponsored by Wellesley Historical Society with World of Wellesley and the Wellesley Free Library.
