Wellesley’s absolutely crawling with Webby business plans these days.
The latest: WellesleySquare.com, brought to you by Squared Ventures (“Evolution of the Traditional Town Square”). WellesleySquare.com’s plan is to provide a central place for local merchants to promote themselves online (with the idea of supporting a unique collection of local businesses, both those with storefronts and without) and for the community to yap amongst itself and get news (yes, apparently you have an insatiable appetite to read about yourselves).
Meanwhile, an outfit called BigTreeTop has been busy meeting with Wellesley Chamber of Commerce members in an effort to get them and other local businesses to promote themselves online.
Not to be outdone, Wellesley High School’s student newspaper, the Bradford, is making the jump online, including to mobile devices. Congrats to the team there on getting out in front of where a lot of online news is headed. Get a sneak peek here.
