Design costs could stall Wellesley senior center

Wellesley Executive Director Hans Larsen called an estimated $640,000 design cost for the proposed Wellesley senior center “excessive,” according to a Boston Globe report on the project’s progress. Members of the Board of Selectmen also are questioning whether the time is right to be spending so big on the center, though individual members have said they are in favor of a new senior center.
