Wellesley College on March 11 at 7pm will revisit the school’s decision 40 years ago to reject an internal commission’s vote to open the school to men. Members of that Commission on the Future of the College will be on hand to discuss their thinking, which was done at a time of financial and social unrest. The school has no plans to revisit the co-ed question now despite the economic situation at the school and elsewhere. But, as a consolation prize, we believe men are allowed to attend this panel discussion.
