A shiny new cell tower has been erected on Rte. 9 near Lee Volvo, so it shouldn’t be long until wireless phone service returns to normal for those affected when a fire claimed the old one.
As we wrote last month, we heard from one Wellesley resident who lived near the tower and suffered services outages with Sprint (a tenant of AT&T’s on this tower) even though Sprint had set up a temporary, smaller cell-on-wheels. She said others in her condo building also had service issues. We’re happy to report that that resident did hear back from Sprint after our report, received a credit for her troubles and was promised that service from the new tower should be working by April 15.
