Wellesley College is proud to present this new and original work as a staged reading which will open on Friday, May 1st, 2009. The play will be performed, coffee-house style, in the intimate setting of the studio space in the Schneider Center Theatre. Created through writing and acting workshops, this work is an in-depth look at American youth at the crossroads and takes you inside the hearts and minds of the generation coming of age in this turbulent time. With humor and insight, the cast explores the issues of sexuality, identity, and teenage depression.
This evolving work is presented in a workshop fashion with audience talk-backs after the every performance and involves a unique cast of Wellesley College, Olin, and Boston-area actors. The scenic and lighting design will be created by technical director Ken Loewit.
