Donna Dankner, principal of Sprague Elementary School, informed parents in an original memo today that she is stepping down. She wrote:
“After careful consideration, this will be my final year as principal of Sprague School. I have truly enjoyed my experience here with the staff, students, and families of the Sprague community. I will spend the remainder of the year maintaining the educational excellence and working closely with the administration to prepare for a smooth transition.”
Dankner joined Sprague as principal in July of 2007, coming from a similar job in Bellingham. She has 30 years of teaching experience.
