Convenience store Village Market has opened in lower falls in Wellesley at 9 Washington St., in between Bobby’s Grille and Wellesley North End Pizza. The store is the latest incarnation of what was the Convenient Mart, and is owned by the Mullaney family, which has owned a store in the space for 40 years. The store is open from 6am-11pm 7 days a week and is across the street from Dunkin Donuts. Ironically, it wasn’t convenient at all for me to snap this picture since I had to drive across town…(thanks to reader RF for pointing out the store opening). One reader wrote that he is thankful for the store’s arrival: “We are real happy to see it returned to the area after more than a year with no lottery machine servicing the population between West Newton & Upper Falls and the Mobil station/Star Market on Route 16 in Wellesley.”
