Bessemer Venture Partners, which has offices on Walnut Street in Wellesley and has been in town since the early 1980s, is now looking to relocate to Cambridge, which is a hot spot for social networking, software and life sciences startups. Bessemer has invested in companies such as Staples, Skype and Gartner Group over the years.
