Wellesley College observatory undergoing renovation

Don’t expect any public nights at the Wellesley College Whitin Observatory for a while. The home to Wellesley College Astronomy Department and some cool telescopes closed for renovations the first week of January and is slated to re-open in about a year. Wendy Hagen-Bauer, a professor in the Astronomy Department,  says the renovation will provide for additional teaching space and address deferred maintenance required to preserve the building, including historical spaces.
