From Elmwood Chapel at The Wellesley Baptist Church regarding a scholarship memorializing a longtime Wellesley resident :
The Elmwood Chapel at The Wellesley Baptist Church has announced their 2010 Scholarship in honor of Eugene H. Mathias. This is a Christian-based scholarship for college-bound Wellesley-area high school seniors or current college students living in the Wellesley area studying accounting or business-related subjects.
The available scholarship money for 2010 is $3,000 and will be awarded on the following criteria: Current academic transcripts, two written character references, financial assistance letter of explanation, college acceptance letter with letter of intent or current college transcripts, letter explaining church or community service projects, and an original written essay.
The deadline for submitting required paperwork is April 1, 2010. For more information on this scholarship, please contact Kathy Danielson at danielson277@verizon.net.
