The warrant for the meeting, which starts April 5 at Wellesley Middle School’s auditorium, is now available here at the town website. Among other things up for vote will be whether to allow RDF land to be leased for such purposes as hosting cellular phone towers (all the better to ensure good reception for those wheelers and dealers looking to swoop in on the latest reusables area treasures). Here’s a quick rundown of other agenda items:
* Town Meeting will vote on a series of capital projects that include adding on to Wellesley Middle School to accommodate rising enrollment, fixing flooring at the Central St. fire department, constructing or refurbishing Municipal Light Plant Administration and DPW buildings, and fixing sewer lines.
* Possible changes to the Wellesley Police Department’s contract, mainly including Civil Service exam restrictions in hiring.
* Possible zoning changes, including amendment of the Large House Review rules that include new ways of measuring attics and basements.
* Voting on a town-wide sustainable energy plan
A special Town Meeting on April 12 will deal with the town’s proposed purchase of land at 494 Washington St. that would be used to support parking at the planned new senior center. If the senior center doesn’t wind up going there, the land could be used for another purpose, like public space.
