The Wellesley Trails Committee leads a walk of Wellesley’s Crosstown Trail, a level path along the Cochituate Aqueduct and Caroline Brook. The trail parallels Washington St. avoiding the town’s congestion and traffic. Among the interesting sights is a specially constructed set of bicycle stairs (shown below) to enable cyclists to avoid stumbling up regular stairs with their bikes.
The walk starts at the Recreation Dept.’s Warren Building at 90 Washington St. and continues past the High School to end at State St. Meet at 9 a.m. at the Warren Building parking lot. Transportation back to the Warren Building will be
limited. If possible, please either leave a car at the State St parking lot or arrange to be picked up. Walk should take about an hour.
