We asked while at the Wellesley RDF yesterday what we should do with invasive plants like Japanese Knotweed yanked from our yard and brought to the dump. Should we toss em in with the grass/leaves/brush or what?
According to the Recycling & Disposal Facility office, they’d actually prefer that you toss ’em in with the garbage to avoid the chance of invasives finding new life in the compost produced by the RDF.
Eat ’em in the spring.

Does anyone have information about the compost available at the RDF? I picked some up but am now wondering about its quality (weed seed content, whether it has been composted long enough to be valuable and whether there is a lot of herbicide residue in it)…
