Wellesley rowers shine at nationals

June 22, 2010 by Bob Brown Leave a Comment

Margaret Ciocca and Priscilla Livingston at Nationals 2010_optYoung Community Rowing Inc. (CRI) participants from Wellesley performed well at the recent US Rowing Youth National Championships at Lake Harsha in Cincinnati. Margaret Ciocca, a member of the girls’ lightweight 8+crew, claimed a national title, with her crew breaking the course record along the way despite temperatures in the 90s.  Recent Wellesley High grad Priscilla Livingston’s crew took home silver medals in the girls’ varsity 4+ event (Shown above: Ciocca, left, and Livingston).  Other strong efforts were put forth by Danny Neilson, Tim and Mike Giroux, Sarah Murphy, Christian Van Dyck, Conor Sullivan, Katie Falb, Conrad Classen and Matthew Marquet.
