The number of pizza joints in Wellesley won’t be down for long with the recent closing of College Square Pizza, since Papa Gino’s is looking to open its restaurant at 254 Washington St. in Wellesley Hills this month.
Did I say restaurant? I mean “concept”, as Papa Gino’s refers to its new business in this Craigslist ad seeking pizza cooks/cashiers/delivery drivers. Let’s hope the pizzas are real, and not merely conceptual.
Papa Gino’s opened a similar business in Brookline this past winter that focuses on delivery and carry-out services to take advantage of the relatively small space it will occupy. If management at the Wellesley operation is anything like at the Brookline one, then people in town might be in for a free treat or two, as Papa Gino’s in Brookline launched by surprising town employees, hospital workers and other business employees with free food and delivery during its first month in business. (Oh sorry, didn’t mean to ruin the surprise.)
