State Rep. Alice Peisch has set up a meeting for the evening of Sept. 28 between state transportation department reps and Wellesley residents pushing for a noise barrier on the Wellesley side of Rte. 128/95. The meeting would focus on the status of such a project and a timeline. It’s possible the meeting date will change based on whether it works for those leading the charge for the barrier in Wellesley.
The Globe recently reported on the challenges Wellesleyites living near the highway have had in getting the state to help block out the noise.
