Signs recently went up at Perrin Park in Wellesley urging dog owners to keep their pets from barking, the latest effort by the town to make peace among dog owners, park neighbors and other park visitors (you might recall the dog walking controversy that erupted in 2008).
One dog owner, who uses the park infrequently, said these latest signs were just too much to take without some sort of response.
This prompted formation of the Committee to Restore Common Sense and Good Cheer, which posted its own sign, as seen here (“It was for laughs but also a gentle reminder that we all need to calm down a bit–restore sanity,” the sign poster wrote to us.).
However, someone apparently isn’t finding the humor in it, and despite three of these signs going up separately, all three have been removed (we poked fun at the Perrin Park to-do ourselves on April Fool’s Day last year, but can’t claim any responsibility this time around).
