Tian Fu restaurant, which has been fighting to stay open next to the old Star Market/what will be the new Whole Foods, has been granted more time to find a new spot. Whole Foods has worked with property manager Gravestar to grant the stay.
Whole Foods last month broke its silence on the Tian Fu situation last month after a Save Tian Fu campaign rallied supporters around the small business and Whole Foods got painted as a bully. Whole Foods said it was just a tenant and was originally unaware of Tian Fu’s plight.
Tian Fu owners were informed over the summer their lease was expiring. They hope to find a new spot within a couple of miles of their current one.
