Man killed in West Newton by commuter rail train on Wellesley route

Police are investigating the death of a man in his 70’s struck by a commuter rail train at West Newton Tuesday morning.

Those waiting for trains in Wellesley were significantly delayed, and the MBTA provided bus service to route around the area where the death took place. An alert issued via the MBTA website termed the delay due to a “medical emergency.”
