A group of residents opposed to a Wellesley Country Club plan to house buildings for storage, vehicle washdown and restrooms/lightning shelter, along with some parking spaces, on picturesque Brookside Road are stepping up their awareness campaign by hosting an educational 1-mile walk along RoseMary Brook on Sunday, Nov. 14 at noon.
The Friends of Brookside Association members have said they appreciate the country club’s need for new facilities, but have raised concerns about the impact of the proposed project on wildlife, drinking water and traffic.
The association might have some fresh info to chew over Sunday as well: Wellesley’s Wetlands Protection Committee meets Wednesday at 11AM at town hall for its latest discussion on the Wellesley Country Club proposal.
