Anna Tang, the former Wellesley College student who stabbed her ex-boyfriend at MIT in 2007, has been acquitted by a judge on grounds that she was legally insane at the time of the incident.
Tang admitted to the stabbing but claimed she was insane at the time due to a bipolar disorder and because she suffers from depression. She was being tried for assault with attempt to murder as well as home invasion.
More from the Wellesley Townsman, which had a reporter at the trial.
