The Last Night of Ballyhoo coming to Wellesley College in January

Wellesley Summer Theatre, Ballyhoo

From Wellesley Summer Theatre:

Opening January 6th @ 7pm in the Ruth Nagel Jones Theatre

It is December 1939 and the world is facing numerous grave challenges.   The Freiberg household in Atlanta is consumed with more immediate matters, such as the world premier of Gone with the Wind and whether or not Lala will secure a date for Ballyhoo, the highlight of the Jewish social season.  The author of Driving Miss Daisy turns a sharp and amusing eye on matters of assimilation and prejudice, identity and romance, in this rich family portrait of a family struggling to find its place.  Last Night of Ballyhoo promises to be a post holiday delight for young and old.

Directed by artistic director, Nora Hussey and designed by the resident team of Ken Loewit (scenic and lighting design), Nancy Stevenson (costume design), and George Cooke (sound design).

The production welcomes back company members:

Danny Bolton, John Davin, Lisa Foley, Charlotte Peed, Lewis Wheeler,
