News anchor Carole Simpson delivered a keynote speech on Monday at the World of Wellesley‘s 11th annual Martin Luther King, Jr. breakfast at Sun Life in Wellesley.
Simpson recounted her relationship with King and pointed to the recent Arizona shootings as evidence that work remains to be done in fighting bigotry and accepting people’s differences. The breakfast featured performances from The Thunder Step Squad of Wellesley High School and the Wellesley Choral Society, and honored the Wellesley METCO Family Friends Program with the World of Wellesley Advancing Race Relations Award.
Simpson is shown here with World of Wellesley Chair Richard McGhee, Jr. and Sun Life exec Ron Friesen.
