Wellesley Town Meeting warrant released

The next Wellesley Town Meeting is slated to take place on March 28 and the topics on the agenda have now formally been released.

The 46 articles include a report from the Board of Selectmen on the town’s 5-year capital budget program and financial plan as well as setting aside funds for special education and transportation.  Authorization of the next phase of the Fuller Brook Park Restoration Project, allowing farm stands, shoring up the downtown fire station and the potties at Hunnewell Field, and bolstering the heating/air conditioning systems at Town Hall are among other warrant items.

Plus, the much discussed of late Brookside Road is up for designation as a scenic road and Historic District designations could be coming to spots on Weston Rd.  and Lowell Rd. Speaking of Brookside, one article on the warrant addresses whether Wellesley Country Club qualifies as a charitable corporation for tax assessment purposes.

The Town Election is set for March 1.
