UPDATE: Official opening for Body in Motion’s existing customers is Jan. 18 at its new location at 180 Linden St. and an Open House will take place on Feb. 5 from 11am-2pm. The business is open to all customers at its new location on Jan. 24.
And a little more info on BarSculpt, which instructor Cheryl Bentsen describes as bringing together the best of Yoga, Pilates and sports conditioning, targeting the seat, abdominals, arms and thighs. The class features upbeat music, and uses a ballet barre, mats, light hand-weights and straps to sculpt a strong, lean body. Free BarSculpt classes will be offered from Jan. 27-31, and sign-up will be available online later this week, according to a spokeswoman for the business.
Body in Motion, which offers Pilates and Gyrotonic fitness services at 159 Linden St., is moving across the street into a 2,000 sq. ft. space that should allow the business to offer more Pilates and BarSculpt classes. A Little Yoga used to occupy that space.
Body in Motion started up in the year 2000, and offers one-on-one training as well as group classes.
The new space is above National Jean Co., according to realtor Traci Shulkin’s blog, which provides additional info on local fitness opportunities for those looking to get the new year off to a healthy start.
