Wellesley’s Sun Life to sponsor Boston Celtics

Time to suck up to your pals working at Sun Life Financial, which has its U.S. headquarters in Wellesley  and is a major employer in town. The Boston Herald reports that the  life insurance company has signed a 1-year sponsorship deal with the Boston Celtics, including sponsorship of the Jumbotron “Kiss Cam” that stalks spots and embarrasses fans during  games at the Garden. The Sun Life logo is already on the front of the Celtics website.

It’s only fitting that Sun Life should team with the Celtics given that so many in the Celts’ organization live in town, including Ray Allen, Danny Ainge and owner Wyc Grousbeck.

Sun Life has a track record in pro sports sponsorships, having its name on stadium that’s home to the Miami Dolphins, Florida Marlins and University off Miami Hurricanes.
