A man was hit and killed by a commuter rail train at the Wellesley Farms station on Sunday afternoon at around 3pm.
The train, carrying about 125 passengers, was traveling outbound from South Station to Framingham. The Wellesley Police Department is investigating the accident and a spokeswoman told the Globe that the fatality of the white male believed to be in his 30s appears to be “self-inflicted and not accidental.” No foul play was detected.
Buses were being used to transport commuters while investigators examined the scene.
