Natick’s Bacon Free Library holds a Mardi Gras Masquerade Ball this Saturday, March 26, at the Wellesley College Ballroom starting at 7pm. The ballroom will come alive with the sights and sounds of this traditional grand celebration. Guests will be able to enter a raffle to win a diamond necklace and the event will pop with live music, prizes for best masks, cajun food, an auction and other surprises. Masks are required, but can be purchased at the door. Cash bar. Reserved tickets ($50) may be purchased at the library or by calling 508-653-6730. Space permitting, tickets at the door will be available for $60. Net proceeds benefit the library.
Established in 1880, the Bacon Free Library is an historic building on historic grounds, next to a picturesque dam and Eliot Bridge. It’s not just a South Natick landmark — it is an institution that serves a broad community including Natick, Wellesley, Sherborn, Dover, and beyond.
