Studios Salons, a business that offers individual studio space under the same roof to handful of independent stylists, is firming up plans for a Wellesley location to be named.

The business set up a 12-suite shop last fall in Norwood, and has other locations in Illinois. The idea is to let hair stylists, manicurists and other beauty professionals have their own suite, but also share services to make the operation more lucrative for them.

This is the latest good news in terms of Wellesley commercial real estate picking up in the wake of an exodus over the past year.
